Kindred Spirit is a privately funded non-profit Christian home for pregnant teenagers. Kindred Spirit’s vision is to reach out to pregnant teens who need a safe place to live during their pregnancy, extending God’s unconditional love and welcoming them into a healing home. With residential facilities for pregnant teens severely limited both locally and nationally, and Christian facilities almost non-existent in the Atlanta area, we are blessed to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the girls the Lord brings us.
While living in the home, each young woman continues her education, learns about nutrition for herself and her baby, takes birthing classes, attends parenting classes and/or adoption counseling, attends worship, participates in cooking and exercise classes, experiences cultural and artistic activities, in addition to receiving the individual counsel and guidance needed to structure her life for success once she departs Kindred Spirit. Our prayer is that the young women who complete our program are never the same as they are introduced to the passionate love of a Savior who calls them by name and promises them a future and a hope as they seek Him with their whole hearts (Isaiah 43:1, Jeremiah 29:11-13).
